Pakistan’s continued dependence on IMF loans has done little to solve our chronic economic problems. It is time we redirect our efforts toward strengthening domestic production as the foundation for true, long-term economic stability. Some argue that IMF loans are necessary in a crisis. But this approach has not worked, our crises only deepen and our future continues to be mortgaged to foreign creditors.

We must shift away from this cycle of dependency and focus on self-reliance. That means boosting domestic industries, supporting innovation, improving infrastructure and creating opportunities that retain our workforce.
