Prince William, Kate to play 'prominent' roles in King Charles key meeting

Prince William and Princess Kate's 'prominent' roles in the much-awaited King Charles' key meeting with an influential figure laid bare.

For the unversed, Buckingham Palace recently confirmed US President Donald Trump's visit to the UK in September.

An insider shared, "His Majesty has known President Trump for many years and looks forward to hosting him and the First Lady later this year."

Jennie Bond, a renowned royal commentator highlighted the important tasks of Waleses in giving a warm welcome to Trump to the UK.

In a conversation with the Mirror, she said, "President Trump appears to have taken a shine to William, after their meeting at Notre Dame. So I’m sure we shall see Prince William taking a prominent role in the state visit."

The royal expert also raised a question about Princess Catherine's presence at a high-profile gathering due to her health condition.

Jennie said, "The icing on the cake for Donald Trump would, of course, be the presence of the Princess of Wales at some of the events and the state dinner. That will depend on her health."

However, she claimed that the future King and Queen know the importance of "massaging the President’s ego, and they will play as prominent a part as possible."

"It’s what the monarch and his senior working royals must do; it’s their job and their duty and they will do it well," Jennie added.
