King Charles marks PTSD Awareness Day by spotlighting support for veterans

King Charles is taking preemptive measures after his huge “dilemma” with Prince Harry was revealed.

On Friday, June 27, the royal family’s official social media pages marked PTSD Awareness Day by spotlighting support for veterans — a cause close to the Duke of Sussex’s heart

“This PTSD Awareness Day, find out about the confidential support that combatstress provides to veterans and their loved ones,” read the message, accompanied by a poster that said, “HERE TO HELP 24/7… TALK TO US.”

The King’s timely post came just a day after former Buckingham Palace press officer Dickie Arbiter weighed in on a Mail report claiming Harry hopes to extend an “olive branch” to Charles and Prince William by inviting them to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.

For those unfamiliar, Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games in 2014 as an international sporting event for wounded, injured, and sick military personnel — both active and retired.

“It would be a bad fit if there was no representation from the King, because he is commander-in-chief,” Arbiter noted.

He explained that the situation is “a very difficult and sensitive one because it’s not just about the relationship of the King with his younger son. It’s also his relationship with servicemen — the veterans.”

He continued, “Somehow it’s got to work that there is a presence of the King. I don’t think there needs to be a presence of William, but certainly of the king as commander-in-chief.”

“It would be right for him to be there,” Arbiter concluded.
