This refers to the letter 'US and the world' (June 22, 2025) by Kamal Hyat. The US has a dubious record of shaping and installing puppet regimes and overthrowing popular governments overtly and covertly around the world. History bears witness to America’s relentless pursuit of global hegemony, often at the expense of democracy itself. Under the guise of containing communism or promoting capitalist ideology, the US has systematically undermined popular governments, replacing them with pliant regimes that serve its interests. The question remains: How long will the world tolerate this hypocrisy?
