LAHORE: In a significant stride for cycling development, the Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) has announced the successful certification of five new Level 1 coaches through the Union Cycliste Internationale’s (UCI) online “Machines” course—a move hailed as a pivotal step in professionalising the sport nationwide.
The newly certified coaches — Ms Maham Tariq, Nisar Ahmad, Shayan Rahman, Muhammad Usman, and Naeem Ahmad — now hold internationally recognised coaching credentials, aligning Pakistan’s grassroots training landscape with UCI global standards.
PCF officials see the achievement as part of a broader push to build long-term capacity across the cycling ecosystem. “We’re not just investing in infrastructure—we’re investing in human capital,” remarked a federation spokesperson, highlighting the PCF Secretariat’s commitment to both education and elite development.
