The Sindh Assembly on Friday adopted through a majority vote a resolution to denounce Israeli armed aggression and attacks on Iran.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah presented the resolution in the house after delivering his budget speech. After the passage of the resolution, the assembly session was adjourned till Monday (June 16) a 10am for holding a general discussion on the new provincial budget.
Earlier, the special pre-budget session of the Sindh cabinet also condemned the latest Israeli attacks on Iran. Talking to his cabinet colleagues, the CM said Israeli military attacks on Iran were undue and inhumane.
He said Pakistan had always advocated the option of holding talks to resolve regional and international disputes peacefully and cordially. Shah further said that Israeli attacks on Iran could jeopardise the peace and stability of the entire region.
He appealed to the United Nations and the concerned international community to take cognisance of the deteriorating regional situation. He mentioned that the Sindh government shared the grief of the suffering and aggrieved people of Iran. Shah said the concerned international community should play an effective role for long-lasting peace in the region.
The members of the Sindh cabinet were of the consensus view that Israeli attacks had violated international laws and accords which stood for the protection of human rights and peace at the global level.
