One of television’s biggest hits, Suits, the law-fueled TV series that is set in New York, finally comes back this month in what is going to be the show’s grittiest year.

In the upcoming sixth season of Suits, Mike Ross will head to prison for a two-year sentence, and the impact of this plot will be felt throughout the show and will affect all the characters.

Patrick J. Adams, who essays Mike Ross recently spoke about the show’s new twist and remarked that it will be a tough ride ahead.

“Mike’s decision to go to jail affected everyone in the show differently,” Adams revealed. “There are characters who are more affected. Obviously, Harvey was a part that’s been in this lie for a long time so it’s going to have a profound effect on him. I think he feels responsible. Rachel, who, obviously they were in love and were about to get married, this is going to have a hard effect on her. She’s going to have to figure out what her life looks like without Mike in it for a while.”

In fact, its possible that Mike Ross will spend the full length of season six in prison.

Aside from Mike Ross, season six, will feature more humour from Louis Litt while Harvey and team work to rescue their law-firm from certain oblivion. All in all, a compelling season is coming up, we think.

The first episode of the show is set to make an appearance on July 13 so watch out.
