ISLAMABAD: The federal government has proposed an estimated budget of Rs1,754.2 million to meet salaries and other expenses of the Prime Minister’s Office for the fiscal year 2025-26.
According to budget documents, there is Rs100 million increase as compared to budget estimates of Rs1,654 million for the fiscal year 2024-25 for Prime Minister’s House (Internal) and Prime Minister’s Office (Public).
However, under the austerity drive, a saving of Rs200.3 million brought the revised budget down to Rs1,454 million from Rs1,654 million for the fiscal year 2024-25.
For the upcoming financial year, the federal government has estimated a budget of Rs857.7 million for the Prime Minister’s Office (Internal) and Rs896.5 million for the Prime Minister’s Office (Public). The major chunk of estimated budget which is Rs560.3 million for PM’s Office (Internal) and Rs684.3 million for PM Office (Public) will be spent on employees related expenses.
