Queen Letizia supports flood victims through thoughtful gesture

Queen Letizia made a powerful and heartfelt fashion statement during her visit to Guadalupe with King Felipe VI on Wednesday.

The royal couple paid travelled to the historic town of Guadalupe in the province of Caceres province on May 28 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the King's proclamation.

Letizia looked elegant in a floral shirt dress, but it was her choice of attire that carried a deeper meaning.

The dress was from Guillen's store in Paiporta, Valencia, a boutique that was completely destroyed during last year's devastating DANA floods.

She completed the thoughtful look with white espadrilles and Tous earrings, blending style with subtle symbolism.

It is important to note that in October and November of last year, catastrophic flash floods struck parts of southern and eastern Spain.

The flood claimed 217 lives and caused widespread destruction. The flooding in Valencia became the deadliest in Spanish history and most severe flood event in Europe since 1969.

The Spanish Royal family shared details of Queen Letizia and King Felipe's Guadalupe visit on their official account.

Meanwhile, King Felipe wore a grey suit paired with a green tie, symbolically matching the flag of the region.
