KABUL: One polio worker was killed and another injured in the eastern Afghan city of Gardez on Monday after an armed individual opened fire during the second round of a national polio vaccination campaign, a police spokesperson in the province of Paktika told Reuters. A suspect has been arrested, according to local police spokesperson Muneeb Zadran.
