LAHORE: Pakistani duo Mohammad Yousaf Ali and Umer Yaseen added two silver medals to the country’s tally at the 9th Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship, bringing Pakistan’s total to six medals in the prestigious event.
Pakistan’s medal count at the championship now reads as: Gold Medal: Bano Butt (48kg Ju-Jitsu Contact event); Silver Medals: Mohammad Yousaf Ali & Umer Yaseen (Duo event); Bronze Medals: Kainat Arif & Isra Waseem (Duo Women & Show Women categories) and M. Ali Rashid & M. Yousaf Ali (Duo Men event).
Despite competing with a minimal squad, Pakistan’s athletes have demonstrated remarkable skill and determination, standing against nations fielding larger contingents of 60-145 players. Khalil Ahmed Khan, Chairman of PJJF, praised the team’s strong performances and reaffirmed the federation’s commitment to advancing Pakistan’s ju-jitsu talent.
