LAHORE: Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial has directed officials to resolve objections related to 24 sports development schemes, ensuring their timely completion.
Chairing an important meeting at Punjab Stadium on Thursday, Sial emphasized the need for swift action to advance sports infrastructure across the province. The meeting was attended by Director General Sports Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry, Additional Secretary Mian Usman Ali, Project Director PMU Qaiser Raza, Deputy Director Tariq Khanzada, and Section Officer Mirza Nadeem.
Sial announced that over 50 sports development projects are expected to be completed by June, with 24 schemes set for completion within the year. He highlighted the successful completion of Shafiq Chishti Sports Stadium in Sahiwal, underscoring the government’s commitment to fostering a strong sports culture among the youth.
“We are taking effective measures to promote sports culture among the younger generation,” Sial stated. “Our prime objective is to provide maximum sports facilities to talented athletes across Punjab.”
The Punjab government is actively working to enhance sports infrastructure in all districts, ensuring accessibility for aspiring athletes. Sial reiterated that the administration remains dedicated to developing high-quality sports facilities to support emerging talent and strengthen the province’s sporting landscape.
