The rampant encroachment of public roads in Karachi has not only disrupted traffic flow but also endangered public safety. Disturbingly, such encroachments often occur with the tacit approval or even active connivance of local authorities. The consequences are dire: perpetual traffic jams, increased accident risks and immense daily hardship for the people. It is not only disappointing but deeply alarming that the very officials tasked with ensuring law and order are either indifferent or complicit. This unchecked lawlessness, occurring in broad daylight, must be addressed. I urge the higher authorities to take immediate, visible action by removing encroachments, restoring road functionality and ensuring accountability among the responsible officials.
