LAHORE: The Pakistan-India baseball clash in the 4th BFA Women’s Baseball Asian Cup – Qualifier 2025 lived up to its billing as one of the most intense and thrilling encounters in Pakistan’s international baseball history. The match, held in Thailand, extended into extra innings before India narrowly secured victory with a 2-1 win in the ninth inning.

The closely fought match saw both teams locked at 1-1 after the regulation seven innings. Despite multiple opportunities in the first extra inning (eighth inning), neither side managed to break the deadlock. However, India scored the decisive run in the second extra inning (ninth inning), sealing a dramatic win over their traditional rivals.

Pakistan displayed immense grit and determination, giving the higher-ranked Indian side a tough time throughout the game. Team Leader and Secretary of the Pakistan Federation Baseball, Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, described it as the toughest match in Pakistan’s international baseball history. “The team fought valiantly against a strong Indian side, and this match is a testament to their courage and talent,” he remarked.
