QUETTA: A roadside bomb explosion in the Kalat area claimed the lives of three people, including two women, and left five others injured.

According to Levies officials, the blast occurred on Thursday when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted along the roadside detonated, hitting a vehicle. The deceased have been identified as Abdullah, Gul Bano, daughter of Khair Muhammad, and Bibi Haseena. The injured were identified as Ali Jan, Muhammad Hayat, Mir Gul, Izzat Khan, and Muhammad Aslam.

A contingent of Levies personnel reached the site, cordoned off the area, and shifted the bodies and injured to a hospital.

The bodies were handed over to the families, while the injured were transferred to Quetta after receiving initial medical aid. Levies launched further investigations into the incident.
