Since her confession didn't sit well some netizens, the Bravolebrity clarified that the 'remarks' of John Mellencamp 'were made in jest', as reported by US Weekly.
The reality TV star spoke on her podcast Two Ts in a Pod's Friday's episode that the rocker knows that she needs some light-hearted comments or joke to 'lighten' her mood as she is navigating through the difficulties of cancer journey.
The 43-year-old confessed to her co-host that Tamra Judge that her dad 'knows' that she needs 'some comedy to this'.
The mother of three also added that through her 'tough' times also, she has had Grammy-award winner's support.
Teddi also mentioned that her family members have been told not to cry around her as she fights the cancer battle.
