I would like to present a simple suggestion to the minister of Water and Power to end electricity line losses across Pakistan. He should pass a simple rule that would deduct the percentage of loss of the area from the salary of each employee of the electricity distribution company.
The line losses should be covered by the deductions. And the people that are responsible for ensuring no line losses happen in the first place will be penalised instead of consumers, who are penalised not only through loadshedding in their areas but also through taxes to cover our so-called circular debt.
