ISLAMABAD: The federal government has reappointed Engr Maqsood Anwar Khan as Member (Development) of the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) for another three-year term, with effect from April 20, a notification from the Cabinet Division said on Tuesday.
“In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3(2) of the Regulation of Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electric Power Act, 1997, the Federal Government is pleased to appoint Engr Maqsood Anwar Khan as Member (Development), National Electric Power Regulatory Authority, under the Cabinet Division,” the notification stated.
Engr Khan, who represents the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), was first appointed to Nepra on April 21, 2021, for a four-year term. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in regulatory affairs and currently serves as Member Licensing of the Authority.
