RAWALPINDI: A judicial commission from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has visited the Adiala jail to determine whether Mishal Yousafzai is legally authorized to represent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in court.
The commission, led by law clerk Sakina Bangash, was constituted following a petition filed by Yousafzai on Khan’s behalf. On Saturday, Bangash entered the Adiala jail through Gate 5 and spent approximately two hours inside before departing. She is expected to submit her report to the IHC in the coming days.
This visit follows an incident on Friday in which jail authorities failed to produce Imran Khan in court, despite a direct order from the judiciary. The situation has further intensified legal scrutiny regarding Khan’s ongoing incarceration and legal representation.
