LAHORE: DIG Imran Kishor, head of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing Imran Khan and the May 9 cases, has resigned from his post.

A copy of his resignation letter, submitted to IG Punjab, has surfaced, in which he states, “I have upheld my oath with unyielding resolve, often at great personal cost, leaving me grappling with many unanswered questions. I find myself at a crossroads where my continued service is neither feasible nor desirable.

“Let it be recorded that I served with honor—but I shall not serve in silence.”

It’s worth mentioning here that his resignation is yet to be accepted by the authority concerned.
