Friends United overpower United Hurricanes

KARACHI: Friends United overpowered United Hurricanes by five wickets in AKG Premier League Season 2 Cricket Tournament here at AKG Ground.

In the first match, United Hurricanes batted first and were all out on 133 runs in 17.4 overs. Skipper Saud Islam scored brilliant 60 off 48 balls with five fours and one six. Parvaiz Ali made 32 off 24 balls with three huge sixes. Arsalan Haider scored 17 runs. Javaid Baig grabbed four wickets conceding 25 runs Kamran Wali took 2-21.

In reply, United Friends reached the target with five wickets in hand in 18.5 overs. Skipper Murtaza Majid scored 34 off 30 deliveries with two fours. Sarfraz Khan made 29 not out. Saud Islam took 2-25.

Javaid Baig was declared the player of the match.

In other encounter, Storm worriers defeated Aziz Damani by five wickets.

Aziz Damani were all out for 155 in 20 overs. Skipper Mir Afzal Baig scored 39 off 31 balls with four fours and one six. Irfan Rehmat contributed 34 off 24 balls with five fours while Naveed Ali made 33 off 24 balls with five fours. Mohammad Shoaib and Shayan Ali took two wickets each.

Storm worriers achieved the target for the loss of five wickets in 18.5 overs. Naseeb Noor Ali contributed unbeaten 88 off 56 balls with five boundaries and four huge sixes. Sannan Noor contributed 30 off 23 balls with two hours and two sixes.
