While the government is touting the decline of inflation to its lowest level in a decade, the timing of this triumphalism is a bit off, in my opinion. Ramazan has started and this does not seem like the right time to be telling people that inflation has tapered off, since prices are now going up. Numbers and graphs will do little to assuage a citizenry that has to face the music in the markets.
