This letter refers to the editorial ‘The empire drops its mask’ (March 2, 2025). First of all, the Ukrainian war could have been easily avoided by the Nato countries keeping their promise not to take Nato right up to Russia’s door.
Ukrainian President Volodo-myr Zelensky is taking advantage of the war and has held onto his presidential position despite his elected term expiring in 2024.
