HPSB meeting for BS-22 promotions likely this week

Cases of many other officers of Foreign Service, Audit and Accounts Service and FBR will also be considered

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the High-Powered Selection Board is likely to be called this week. According to sources, the meeting of the High-Powered Selection Board, chaired by the Prime Minister, is expected on March 5. The Establishment Division has completed preparations for the meeting.

More than 40 posts of grades 21 to 22 will be reviewed. Sindh IG Ghulam Nabi Memon, Secretary to Prime Minister Asad Rehman Gilani, FBR ChairmanRashid Mahmood Langrial, Additional Secretary Incharge Petroleum Division Momin Agha and Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman are among those to be considered for promotion to grade 22. Cases of many other officers of the Foreign Service, Audit and Accounts Service and FBR will also be considered.

Meanwhile, a four-day meeting of the Central Selection Board, under the chairmanship of the Federal Public Service Commission chairman, will begin from March 10. In the meeting, promotions will be made from grade 19 to 20 and from grade 20 to 21. Recommendations will be prepared for 325 posts of grade 20 and 21 of three Service Groups under the Establishment Division.

A panel of 1000 officers of grades 19 and 20 of Pakistan Administrative Service, Police Service of Pakistan and Secretariat Group under Establishment Division has been made. Besides, panels of other service groups and X-cadre officers have been prepared separately.
