Shahzad Town, situated on the western side of National Park Road in Islamabad, has a population of around 10,000. The area was developed in the mid-1980s. While the National Park Road was recently being recarpeted, a traffic signal at the entry of the town was removed. This signal was of great help to the residents.

Its removal has created great difficulties for pedestrians, including school-going children, teachers, women and elderly citizens, while they are crossing the National Park Road. In the interest of the safety of pedestrians, an overhead bridge should be built near the entry point. The local authorities are requested to initiate this task as soon as possible.
