ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court Monday adjourned until Tuesday (today) hearing into the intra court appeals (ICAs) against its judgment declaring the trial of civilians in military courts as unconstitutional.
A seven member constitutional bench of the Supreme Court — headed by Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan — heard the ICAs of the federal government and Ministry of Defense against the apex court judgment.
The other members of the bench are Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Musarrat Hilali, Justice Syed Hassan Azhar Rizvi, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan.
During the hearing, Salman Akram Raja’s assistant told the bench that Raja could not reach the apex court due to the blockade of roads adding that only Margalla Road was open for traffic.
Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel, however, asked the counsel as to why Raja could not make it when he and the other counsel, including Khwaja Haris, had already reached the court. Later, the court adjourned the hearing for today (Tuesday).
