RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed three khawarij in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in general area Datta Khel of North Waziristan district on Thursday night.

The troops effectively engaged the khawarij location, as a result of which three khawarij, who were trying to escape wearing women attire (burqa), were sent to hell, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the deceased, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.

A sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Khawarij in the area. The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country, added the statement.
