ISLAMABAD: On the issue of Pakistani woman Seema Haider’s illegal entry into India with her four children, the Pakistani High Commission in Delhi has taken steps regarding Ghulam Haider’s children.
The Pakistani HC contacted Ghulam Haider by telephone and informed him about the steps taken to bring the four children back home. The HC said it has written letters to the Indian government for access to the children. It is hoped the Delhi government will give access to four children to the High Commission.
Ghulam Haider complained to the High Commission his four children, including three daughters have been illegally transferred to India. Seema Haider had fallen in love with an Indian youth while playing PUBG and reached India with her four minor children. In Pakistan, Seema Haider was married to Ghulam Haider. Her first conversation with Indian citizen Sachin Meena took place in an online shooting game in 2019. Later, the two met in Nepal in March 2023, where Seema converted to Hinduism. They reportedly married in Kathmandu according to Hindu customs and then she entered India with children on May 13, 2023. A few days ago, Ghulam Haider, through an Indian lawyer, filed a petition in the Noida family court, challenging Seema’s marriage to Sachin Meena.
His lawyer requested the magistrate to order an investigation under Section 156(3) of the Indian Penal Code. Ghulam Haider has also challenged his children’s change of religion in the petition.
