PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched the “BizHub” digital app to serve as a transformative platform for empowering small and medium enterprises, fostering innovation, and catalyzing economic growth in the province.
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Industries Abdul Karim and Adviser on Finance Muzammil Aslam inaugurated at a ceremony, said a handout.
Secretary Industries Aamir Afaq, officials of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment and Trade (KPBoIT), and representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) were present on this occasion.
The event was organized under the auspices of KP-BOIT in collaboration with USAID and UNDP.The KP BizHub was expected to address the unique challenges faced by businesses in KP while unlocking new opportunities for growth and collaboration. Abdul Karim underscored the role of SMEs in bolstering the local economy and creating employment opportunities.
He promised to provide all possible facilities to the business community through the KP BoIT to ensure a conducive business environment in the province and reforms would be implemented in the sector.
Muzammil Aslam stated that the launching of the digital app was meant to facilitate business in the province.KPBoIT Vice-Chairman Hassan Masood Kunwar said the KP BizHub would help the small and medium enterprises of our region. By providing access to resources, mentorship, and market linkages, we aim to empower our entrepreneurs and pave the way for a prosperous future. Deputy Resident Representative of UNDP, Ms Van Nguyen highlighted the technical efforts being provided to the board in the launching of the same solution.
She said that the purpose of this initiative is to create a viable environment for investment in the province and it will support inclusive economic growth.Secretary of Industries, Commerce and Technical Education Aamir Afaq spoke on the occasion as well.
