LAHORE:A 16-year-old boy tragically lost his life in Ichhra Main Bazaar after a gun accidentally discharged while he was cleaning it. Police have initiated an investigation and sent the body for post-mortem examination.
According to Edhi Foundation officials, the deceased, identified as Ahsan, was the son of Salahuddin, a local resident. The incident occurred when Ahsan was reportedly cleaning a gun at home, and it accidentally went off, severely injuring him. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Police reached the scene and collected evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. According to police officials, the arrests were made during a routine check following a tip-off. The suspects, identified as Gaman, Robin, Rehan, Nasir Mehmood, Fouzia and Lubna Shehzadi among others were intercepted while delivering a consignment of drugs. During initial investigations, the suspects confessed to procuring drugs from Peshawar through online channels and distributing them to various districts.
