At present, two major political parties are in power: the PPP and the PML-N. These are the same parties that have governed the country for decades. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was given an opportunity in 2018, but it left the country burdened with debt and inflation. The country currently faces several challenges, including inflation, electricity and gas shortages, and law and order issues. Daily political chaos and protests have severely damaged the economy, making it difficult for the federal government to perform effectively. The current government needs to open employment opportunities, establish industries, control inflation, reduce heavy taxes, and build better relations with foreign countries to encourage investment in Pakistan.
