Khurram Mukhtar, patron-in-chief of the Pakistan Textile Exporters Association, told The News that 270 exporters from Pakistan participated in the event, with their products attracting significant interest from global buyers.

Mukhtar noted that Pakistan has immediate opportunities to increase its textile exports by $7-8 billion. However, addressing challenges faced by the textile industry is essential to realising this potential.

He mentioned the importance of assuring the international business community that Pakistan is a reliable supplier capable of fulfilling export orders on time. Mukhtar also pointed out that Pakistan has the necessary supply chain, raw materials and skilled workforce to become a dependable international business partner. To boost Pakistan’s global credibility, Mukhtar stressed the need for business-friendly, long-term industrial policies that foster growth in the sector.
