ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) while removing objection over review petition filed by PTI founder Imran Khan concerning jail facilities has directed to fix it for hearing on Monday.
Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamer Farooq heard the petition along with the registrar’s office objection on Friday. Faisal Chaudhry counsel for PTI founder appeared in the court. The court inquired about his plea.
Chaudhry said we have challenged the trial court order. IHC while removing the registrar’s office objection directed to fix the petition for hearing on Monday. According to the petition, Special Judge Central Court judge Shah Rukh Arjumand issued an order about jail facilities on January 10.
The court should issue orders to stop the misuse of the trial court orders and meet norms of justice as per law and constitution. The petition objected to the denial of facilities despite the presence of high-profile prisoners in jail.
Criticising the attitude of jail authorities that runs contrary to the law and constitution, the plea asked for the provision of facilities as per law and constitution.
