Islamabad: Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan with Altynbek Maksutov, Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan over the telephone and extended a formal invitation to the Commonwealth Asia Youth Alliance (CAYA) Youth Summit, to be held in Islamabad from January 26 to 30.
The conversation focused on strengthening youth collaboration and mutual support between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan. Mashood underscored the importance of cross-regional partnerships in addressing challenges facing young people, particularly in education, skills development, and cultural exchange.
He also expressed deep gratitude to the Kyrgyz government for their support during the recent incident involving Pakistani students at a Kyrgyz university.
The programme chairman acknowledged that their prompt and compassionate response underscored the strong bilateral ties between the two countries. Minister Maksutov commended Pakistan's efforts to engage regional youth through initiatives like the CAYA Youth Summit and pledged his support for promoting youth empowerment within the Commonwealth Asia region.
