PPF launches new ranking system

KARACHI: The Pakistan Padel Federation (PPF) has unveiled a new Ranking and Points System, developed in line with International Padel Federation (FIP) standards. This system is designed to bring uniformity to player rankings and facilitate qualification for prestigious tournaments such as the World Cup and the Asian Championship.

The Pakistan Padel Federation ranking system will be implemented across six levels of padel events, from national to local competitions, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all competitive formats.

Under the new structure, players will earn points based on their performance in various events. At the national level, winners will receive 500 points, finalists 400, semi-finalists 300, quarter-finalists 200, round-of-16 participants 100, and those participating will get 50 points. For PPF Tours and League events, winners will earn 300 points, finalists 250, semi-finalists 200, quarter-finalists 150, round-of-16 participants 50, and participants 30 points. At the provincial level, winners will gain 250 points, finalists 200, semi-finalists 150, quarter-finalists 100, round-of-16 participants 30, and participants 15 points. Local and club leagues will offer 100 points to winners, 80 to finalists, 60 to semi-finalists, 40 to quarter-finalists, 20 to round-of-16 participants, and 10 to those who participate.
