LAHORE: The Punjab Hockey Association (PHA) completed its electoral process Thursday, with Malik Muhammad Ahmad Saeed being elected as the President. In a General Council meeting held in Lahore, Muhammad Yasin was elected as the new Secretary General of the PHA.
The gathering saw a large number of representatives from across the province. During the meeting, the association approved the imposition of a 10-year ban on Olympian Asif Bajwa, Olympian Rana Mujahid, Danish Kaleem, Mian Zahid Iqbal, Haroon Saeed, Kashif Ali and other members for forming a parallel organisation. The newly elected President, Malik Ahmad Saeed, said that the PHA’s focus will be on promoting hockey at the grassroots level throughout Punjab.
