ISLAMABAD: Majority of Pakistanis insists on taking measures against smog but set some conditions.
This was revealed in a survey by Ipsos Pakistan in which 1,000 people participated from across the country. The survey was conducted between November 18 and 22 last month.
In the survey, 75 percent of people emphasised working on their own instead of government, saying, “We have to play our role before government or other institutions take any measures”.
Should government take the initiative to deal with smog? Responding to this question, 73pc seemed to be waiting for the measures and asked government to go ahead and take steps. According to the survey, 77pc of Pakistanis appeared to be dependent on others. They said when everyone plays his/her role, they will also join them.
