ISLAMABAD: Legal action has been initiated against the Islamabad Police personnel, who had excused themselves from duties during the PTI protest.
On the instructions of Inspector General of Police, Islamabad, the AIG Establishment of federal capital issued a circular to take disciplinary action against personnel who were absent from duties. It has been ordered to initiate action within two days against the officials who were absent from duty on the days of PTI protest (November 23 to November 26). The absentees can also be severely punished with dismissal from service. All DIGs/AIGs have been asked for the lists of absent officials and details of disciplinary action against them.
