The tragic conflict in Parachinar is deeply entrenched in historical sectarian divides. This strife has been further aggravated by a combination of domestic and international factors, fuelling the escalation of violence.
Both governmental institutions and civil society organisations, including NGOs, have fallen short in addressing this pressing issue. An urgent and strategic approach is required to achieve conflict resolution and transformation by empowering the affected communities.
