This letter refers to the news report ‘Services chiefs to stay for 5 years, SC to have 34 judges’ (November 5, 2024). I welcome this development with great pleasure. I sincerely hope these moves will provide enough time and opportunity to further expand the role of the SIFC and give some sense of direction and purpose to the government officials. The public is fed up with the situation of the different organs of state pulling in diverse directions.
