IHC’s larger bench to hear contempt plea over social media campaign against Justice Tariq Jahangiri

Previous hearing of contempt of court case could not take place due to unavailability of a larger bench as Justice Babar Sattar was on leave

ISLAMABAD: A contempt of court plea in connection with social media campaign against Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has been fixed for hearing on October 31, which will be taken up by the larger bench of the IHC.

All other judges except Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri are included in the larger bench constituted for hearing the case.

The previous hearing of the contempt of court case could not take place due to unavailability of larger bench as Justice Babar Sattar was on leave. Following the return of Justice Babar Sattar, the hearing has been fixed for October 31.
