South Korean musicians perform at World Culture Festival concert

On the 24th day of the World Culture Festival Karachi on Saturday, the Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP) hosted a musical concert.

The Mega Music Concert 4.0 added an extra spark to the festival with performances by South Korean group Good Fellis, SOVAPA Academic Ensemble, Hamza Akram Qawwal, Natasha Baig, Wahab Bugti, Sultan Baloch, Noman Al Shaikh, JAMBROZ Band and Rhythmic Reverie.

The South Korean group’s performance was a hit as it captivated the hearts of the audience with their unique performance.

South Korea Consul General Yi Sungho also shared his thoughts at the festival. He remarked that the performance of the Korean group in Pakistan was a matter of pride. "For the first time, the people of Karachi are experiencing a South Korean musical band. People from both countries will enjoy this concert together, fostering cultural ties," he said.

He also mentioned that South Koreans had been experimenting in music by presenting the art in different styles.

The South Korean diplomat also praised the ACP for holding a mega festival spanning over a month for the promotion of cultures.

ACP President Muhammad Ahmed Shah stated that South Korea was a peaceful nation. He added that by performing in Pakistan today, the South Korean group had not only brought honour to their own country but also honoured Pakistan. A qawwali performance by Hamza Akram Qawwal and his group made the crowd swaying in rhythm.

Wahab Bugti and Natasha Baig also enthralled the music lovers with their soulful voices, and SOVAPA Academic Ensemble paid tribute to Pakistani music directors through their musical compositions.

The concert drew a large crowd of music enthusiasts of Karachi. The 38-day World Culture Festival will continue until November 2 with tickets available through the Arts Council and Ticketwala.com. Members of the Arts Council can avail a 50% discount on tickets directly from the Arts Council.
