ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to close one more department under the right-sizing policy. The decision to close down the National Institute for Population Welfare is being taken to reduce the size of the federal government.
Government sources said the task of implementing the decision of federal cabinet was given to the federal ministry of health.
According to sources, the right-sizing measures include closure and privatisation of various government entities. Merger of various departments and divisions is also a part of the plan.
Sources said the federal government has made a plan to close various entities of five federal ministries in the first phase. Several departments have already been identified for closure.
