We are in the 21st century but much of Pakistan’s rural population is still deprived of fast and reliable telecommunication facilities. While other countries are planning to provide free and fast internet to their people, people in areas like Khairpur, Sindh are still struggling with slow mobile broadband speed despite paying for it themselves. Internet facilities are not available even in educational institutions. I appeal to the telecom authorities to at least provide educational institutions with internet. It is also quite concerning that representatives of mobile companies often do not pay any attention to public complaints, which is something that the PTA should look into.
