This refers to the article, ‘When did committee’s solve anything’ (May 20) by Ayaz Amir. People never doubted the fact that commissions set up to investigate issue like the Panama Papers will prove counterproductive, and soon the matter will be a forgotten story.
Why is there a need to set up a commission when corruption is fully documented? When we cannot bring people under the tax net, how can we control offshore companies? Look at the priorities of our rulers. They have approved a three-fold rise in the salaries of parliamentarians. That is tantamount to having inshore companies.
