‘FC ready to defend motherland against any aggression’

HANGU: Inspector General of Frontier Corps (IGFC), Major-Gen Tayyab Azam on Wednesday recalling the sacrifices of Frontier Corps (FC) for defence of their motherland said that the force stood up against militancy till its final extermination.
Addressing the 19th Passing Out Parade of the Thall Scouts, the IG FC said that the history of the force was replete with unprecedented sacrifices since the inception of the country adding that we are determined to root out terrorism from the country. The changing scenario he said demands unusual sacrifices in the line of duty to protect the country from any aggression. He said that FC was standing side-by-side with the Pak Army for the security of the country.
He said that Frontier Corps take it as its responsibility to frustrate conspiracy against the nation saying that country was passing through difficult stage of history as worships places and innocent civilians are being targeted by the anti-state elements. The existing time demanded joint efforts to foil the design of anti-Pakistan elements by forging unity in our ranks and files, he added.
He said that force was professionally competent to foil all such designs adding that they will demonstrate the same in the days to come. “We are proud of your professional preparedness,” the IG FC concluded.
On the occasion the passed out recruits and jawans took oath of allegiance to motherland. The IG FC gave the honorary baton to recruit Sajid Yousufzai for obtaining first position in physical training. Fazlur Rehman Pathan received shield as best firer while Inamullah was awarded for his extraordinary performance in education training.It is pertinent to mention that passing out parade was held after a period of eight years wherein participated by 750 FC Jawans.
