LAHORE: Pakistan’s middle order came to the rescue in the first Test against Bangladesh, with Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel stitching together a mammoth 240-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
This stand not only saved the team from a precarious position but also became the highest fifth-wicket partnership for Pakistan. Both batsmen scored centuries, with Shakeel making a well-compiled 141 and Rizwan remaining unbeaten on a well-paced 171.
