After unleashing vigorous efforts and commendable sacrifices, the people of Bangladesh triumphed over the oppressive Hasina Sheikh's government. The longest serving premier of Bangladesh abdicated and fled the country. This was made possible by the valour displayed by the Bengali Students, agitating against the quota system in civil jobs for the progeny of freedom fighters.
Pakistan too is struggling under a state that routinely violates the rights of the citizenry and often behaves in a despotic manner. It is high time that the power-holders, instead of inflicting new troubles on the people, begin paying heed to their woes and trying to solve them. Otherwise, the example of Sheikh Hasina is not concealed from anyone's view.
