Uninterrupted trade with Afghanistan demanded

LANDIKOTAL: Urging all stakeholders to work for uninterrupted trade with Afghanistan, the speakers at a seminar here on Wednesday said that good relations with neighbouring countries was a must for development of the region.

The seminar titled “Peace Jirga” was held at the Landikotal Jirga Hall under the auspices of the World Peace Jirga Programme to discuss the current border situation and find out solutions to address border-related issues.

Key participants included the chairman of the World Peace Jirga Programme, Rayatullah Khan alias Khan Baba, deputy chairman Iqtidar Khan, country head Saadia Khan alias Khan Bibi, coordinator for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Ghous, chief coordinator for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Lawang, deputy chief coordinator Sadiq Shah Bacha, and project coordinator Muhammad Haroon.

The seminar was organised with the support of the chief secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Discussions addressed not only border-related issues but also included consultations on implementing practical solutions for peace and free trade with Afghanistan.
