LAHORE:IG Dr Usman Anwar has paid tributes to ASI Nazir Ahmad of Organised Crime Unit Lahore martyred in Sundar area on Tuesday night.
The IG and other senior officers attended his funeral at Qila Gujar Singh Police Lines. An active squad of police presented a guard of honour to ASI Nazir Ahmad Shaheed. ASI Nazir Ahmad Shaheed is survived by wife, son and a daughter. The IG met ASI’s son Muhammad Ahmad and other family members. He said Punjab police is the guardian force of 1,639 martyrs like ASI Nazir Ahmad and more than 1,700 brave ghazis. Earlier, the IG took notice of the incident and sought a report from Lahore CCPO. He ordered DIG Operations to immediately arrest the accused involved in his killing.
